Antwerp, 27 April 2023 - Nobi Smart Lamps is proud to announce that their AI-driven smart lamp has been honored with multiple awards at the start of 2023. The company's innovative product was recognized with top accolades at prestigious competitions, including the Muse Design Awards, the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD and the Health Tech Digital Awards (Best UK Elderly Care Tech Solution). These awards are a testament to the transformative impact of Nobi Smart Lamps in the industry and the company remains committed to pushing the boundaries of design and technology to help people age both safely and happily.

The winning categories

The competition for these awards was intense. Out of over 6300 entries from around the world, Nobi Smart Lamps brought home the Muse Design Awards in the following 8 categories:

The smart lamp also received this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned design prize. Nobi won in the discipline Product in the category ‘Medicine / Health’, which saw almost 11.000 entries from around the globe, in hopes of receiving the seal of quality this year.

Lastly, Nobi Smart Lamps received the UK Health Tech Digital Award for the Best Elderly Care Tech Solution. These awards are a testament to the groundbreaking work that Nobi is doing in the field of elderly care and they inspire the company to continue pushing the boundaries of design and technology.

To succeed, Nobi is also convinced that product design will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between elderly & care technology. This everyday object doesn’t resemble typical care technology and blends in in every interior. When developing Nobi, 4 design principles were used as a guide: the lamp had to be simple, discreet, user-friendly and cosy. This makes Nobi different from existing fall detection technologies that are often perceived as intrusive and stigmatizing. ​
